From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of an adult woman [Chestina Welty] sitting on the ground with a young girl [Eudora Welty] kneeling to her right and a toddler [Walter Welty] standing on the woman's left, and a boy [Edward Welty] stands behind them. The woman is wearing a gingham print dress, the girl and toddler are wearing light-colored dresses, and the boy is wearing a light-colored sailor-style suit. The children are looking at the camera smiling while the woman is looking down and swatting at something. There is a tree line in the background.
