Detailed Description

From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of a parade scene in a city, the open-top vehicles driving away from the camera. The vehicle closest to the camera is decorated with ruffles and flowers, with a sign that reads "The blue Prelude girls" on the back, while several individuals in dresses and bonnets are riding in or holding onto the car's side. The vehicle in front of them has several men riding in or holding onto the vehicle's side, and the vehicle furthest from the camera also carries people in ruffles and bonnets. There are crowds on either side of the street with streetcar tracks on the street. The text in the bottom right corner reads "1941".
