Detailed Description

From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of three Black women and two Black men with their backs to the camera. The women are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with one another, the middle woman has her arms around the other women's shoulders, the woman on right has her left arm around the middle woman's waist and right hand resting on her hip, and they are all looking forward. The woman on the left is wearing a mid-tone colored skirt and blouse, the middle woman is wearing a floral patterned dress and hoop earrings, the woman on the right is wearing a dark, polka-dot patterned dress and earrings, and they all have short hair. The men are wearing dark-colored sweaters/shirts with dark trousers, and caps. There are several people and fair booths in front of them, and two Ferris wheels in the background with a sign that reads "ROYAL AMERICAN".
