Detailed Description

From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of an older white man looking at the camera. He has short, light-colored hair and is sitting by a window with his knees crossed, right hand resting in his lap, and left hand resting on one of two round objects. He is wearing light-colored slacks with dark suspenders, a light-colored button down, and dark, patterned tie. There is a large bunch of bananas hanging behind him in the window, and, on the wood-planked wall behind him, is a calendar with an illustration of a woman in a dress and a wall telephone.
