Detailed Description
From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of white people standing in front of a Greek Revival building [Mississippi Governor's Mansion]. There are drapes between the front columns, and trees and bushes in front of the structure. An older woman stares at the camera, wearing a long-sleeve dress with two rows of decorative buttons down the chest, lace at the cuffs, a necklace, various political buttons, and a brimmed hat. There are several men behind her in either suits or dress shirts, along with a boy in slacks and t-shirt but shoeless, and a man in a light-colored suit sitting in the left-side background.
