Detailed Description

From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of a small grassy area in a the center of a town [town square in Grenada, Mississippi] There is a low fountain in the park's center with four walkways. Three men are standing by the fountain's edge while one man sits on the edge, there is a light pole and signs that read "CITY LUMBER CO FEED STORE PHONE 73" and "SPOTLESS DRY CLEAN" along the right walkway, a water fountain near the left walkway. In the background are storefronts and cars parked diagonally, trees, and more people.
