Detailed Description

From the Eudora Welty Digital Archives Photographs Collection - MDAH. Black-and-white photograph of several Black men of various ages standing around a vessel raised over a fire and smoke or steam coming off the top. The men are wearing long-sleeved button-downs with overalls and hats, the man closest to the camera is smoking a pipe and the man behind him is wearing a jacket. Several men are next to the vessel and holding tools over the open top. There are trees and rocks in the background.
