Detailed Description
From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Mississippi State Penitentiary (Parchman) Photographs (PI/PEN/P37.4). Black-and-white photograph of men working a machine to bale hay. There are stacks of baled hay in the photo’s foreground. In between the stacks of baled hay are several men, one in dark clothing and a hat while the others are in light-colored shirts and striped pants. There is a wall of unbaled hay behind the men in the image’s background.
