Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Parchman (Mississippi State Penitentiary) Photograph Booklet (1695). Black-and-white photograph of a white man standing in front of a one-story, wooden structure with a metal roof and concrete foundation. The man is facing the camera and is wearing a light-colored, short-sleeved button-down shirt, a dark belt, light-colored pants, dark shoes, and a dark hat. The structure’s interior is dark and has one set of double-doors on both of its long sides. There is a trunk by the man’s feet and fencing is seen behind the building, with power lines above the building.
