Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Allard (Michael A.) Hurricane Katrina Photograph Collection (EA2012.004). Color photograph of storm damage in a neighborhood to both buildings and the debris that was brought into the neighborhood. In the foreground of the image there are downed wires hanging off of a utility pole that has been snapped but is still standing. Across the street from the pole there are two homes that while still standing seem to have suffered massive damage from the storm and are leaning at unnatural angles. In front of these two homes, there is a mountain of debris as well as (at least) two shipping containers on the lawn.
