Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Allard (Michael A.) Hurricane Katrina Photograph Collection (EA2012.004). Color photograph of debris and storm damage to two-story building with a two-story porch. In the foreground are piles of stacked piles of trash along the curb including rolled up sections of metal and building materials. A sign hanging from the upstairs porch reads “Bourdin Bros. Plumbing and Heating.” Two men stand underneath the sign, one in a black-and-white vertical striped, short-sleeved shirt and the other in a blue short-sleeved shirt. The front windows are boarded up. Next to the building is another structure missing sections of its exterior wall.
