Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Rogers (Jeff) Hurricane Katrina Photographs Collection (PI/2005.0024). Color photograph of the remains of a home on a now mostly empty lot. In the foreground of the image, there appears to be a driveway that is littered with debris leading up to a plot for a home, but the home is scattered about in pieces from the power of the storm. On the left-hand side of the image, there is also a tractor that is pushed up underneath a tree which is still standing but mostly bare of its leaves. In the background, there are a few standing powerlines, as well as the water of the Gulf of Mexico.
