Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Rogers (Jeff) Hurricane Katrina Photographs Collection (PI/2005.0024). Color photograph of severely damaged train trestle over a body of water. The view of the train tracks start at the photo’s immediate center foreground and run along the photo’s middle to the background. In the foreground is a portion over land that is partially twisted to the left. There is various mechanical and foliage debris on the land on either side of the trestle, with a person standing on the beach in the photo’s right-side. There is a boat with a crane next to the trestle in the background, with a landmass in the far background.
