Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Rogers (Jeff) Hurricane Katrina Photographs Collection (PI/2005.0024). Color photograph of a storm-damaged, two-story Renaissance revival building with two front-corner steeples. The steeple closer to the camera is taller and includes a clock. The front has six rounded-arched windows above a portico; rounded-arched windows decorate the base of the steeple and sides of the second-story. The building’s sides also have large rounded-arched windows. There is sand, dirt, and debris surrounding the church. One man on the photo’s right side is walking to the church while another stands under the portico. There are various trees on both sides of the photo and another building in the far foreground.
