Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Rogers (Jeff) Hurricane Katrina Photographs Collection (PI/2005.0024). Color photograph of storm damage and the remains of homes in Hancock County. In the background of the image and scattered across a field there are the remains of a home that was destroyed by the storm. There are also multiple trees and branches scattered across the field which is partially covered in mud. There are some smaller trees such as the pine tree in the center of the image and on the left-hand side that are still standing, but they are missing a lot of branches and leaves.
