Detailed Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Hurricane Camille Photograph Collection (PI/NA/H43.6). Black and white photograph of numerous homes along a neighborhood road damaged by the storm. Overlooking the hood of a car which is in the foreground, there are three single story homes in the photograph that all appear to have suffered severe storm damage. Along with the down tree branches, the homes are all surrounded by massive piles of trash and debris along with pieces of furniture that appear to be almost as high as the homes themselves. Mixed into the larger piles of debris are two cars. In the background on the left-hand side of the photo is a car parked further down the street.
