Archival Description
"Hurricane Camille damage, pedestrian overpass."
Detailed Description
From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Hurricane Camille Photograph Collection (PI/NA/H43.6). Black-and-white photograph of a parking lot in the immediate foreground, and a road that passes underneath a raised walking path. A car is parked in the lot on the photo’s right-side while a car is driving away from the camera’s view. Between the cars is a pole with a hanging sign that reads “BEAUTY SALON.” The pedestrian overpass leads in the background from the photo’s right-side to center and is missing areas of protective fencing. There are several palm trees and buildings across the photo’s background behind the road and overpass.
