Archival Description
"Hurricane Camille damage, boat and house."
Detailed Description
From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Hurricane Camille Photograph Collection (PI/NA/H43.6). Black and white photograph of storm damage to a neighborhood along with a boat. In the foreground, there are dozens of tree branches and large pieces of trees that appear to have been either knocked down or swept into the neighborhood. In the center of the photo, there is a large boat that has been swept into the neighborhood and appears to have come to rest against a house. The home in this picture, which is a single-story dwelling, also appears to have been severely damaged by the storm, as well as the debris pushed into and against it.
