The right item is a black-and-white portrait of a young African American woman, and the left is a prayer card. The woman's photograph is oval on light-colored paper with a red border. Her body is pointed towards the camera, and she is facing the camera's right. She is wearing dark clothes with buttons down the front, a high collar with a ribbon kerchief, and a thick necklace that falls at collarbone height and has a square pendant. Her hair is pulled back with a center part. There are dots across the photograph. The prayer card has a floral border in red ink along the left side, top, and bottom. There is an illustration of a person in the top left corner of the card, and across the top is another illustration of a person lying in a bed with another person sitting across from them.
