From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Crowe (Milburn J.) Photograph Album Collection. A black-and-white portrait of three African American children facing the camera. The photograph has a simple line border with a floral pattern in the corners. The child in the center is a girl sitting in a wicker-style chair with her hands in her lap. She is wearing a long-sleeved dress that is light-colored with dark stripes, a beret with a pom-pom on the top, and dark laced-up boots. On either side of her are two boys standing and in matching clothes. They are wearing dark jackets with two rows of large buttons down the left and right sides of the chest, newsboy-style caps, dark breeches, dark socks, and dark laced-up boots. They are resting their arm closest to the girl against the arms of the chair with their opposite arm by their sides. Under the image is the text "CARL, 1337. Penna Avenue, N. W. Washington, D.C." The photograph quality is hazy and difficult to view. There are stains and water damage to the page's outer edges and tearing at the bottom of the page.
