Crowe Album, Page 24; undated
Description
From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Crowe (Milburn J.) Photograph Album Collection. Four black-and-white portraits featuring African American individuals. The right two images are in a rounded cut-out with a simple line border, the left images are placed on the page rather than in an opening, and the overall page has a line border with floral decorations in the corners. The top-left is a portrait of a woman facing the camera. She is wearing a light-colored dress with a ruffled collar. Her dark hair is styled with a center part and pulled back, and she has a patterned bow in her hair. She is wearing dangling earrings. From shoulders-downward is obscured due to fading and deterioration. The top-right is the same portrait as the top right image on page 8. The bottom-right is a portrait of a young boy sitting in an upholstered chair decorated with fringe along the back. He is facing the camera and wearing a dark suit, the breeches stop below the knee, with light-colored socks and dark boots. He has dark, curly and cropped hair parted on his right side. His hands are resting on his thighs, his right leg is bent under his left leg which dangles from the chair. The bottom-left is a portrait of a man with his body and head pointed just off the camera's right. He is wearing a darker-colored suit and tie, with a light-colored button-up. He has dark, very short, cropped hair. There is significant deterioration and tearing at the page's bottom.
