Title

WPA Churches Survey, Item 19; ca. 1930s

Description

From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Churches - Survey Photograph Collection. A black-and-white, exterior front-view photograph of a brick building. On the far left and far right sides of the building are two identical front entrances in lancet-arch shape with light-colored panels and dark rails, lock stile, and mullion. The stone above the doors is arch-shaped and lighter in color. There are stairs leading from the sidewalk to the doors. Between the doors are four, narrow triangle-arched windows with a central decorative medallion with unidentified words inscribed. Above that is a circular medallion with a cross placed against it. There is a diamond-shaped window above the door on the right and further brick detailing along the roof trim. There is a heavily-decorated steeple with an open lantern and spire on the building's right side. The roof is cross gable. There is another building on the photo's right side, a small lamppost in front of the central structure, and trees around the building.
