From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Anti-Slavery Alphabet Series. This card is the front and back of the thirteenth page. The front-side has the text "S" and "S is the Sugar, that the slave Is toiling hard to make, To put into your pie and tea, Your candy, and your cake." And "T" and "T is the rank Tobacco plant, Raise by slave labor too: A poisonous and nasty thing, For gentlemen to chew." The back-side is blank.
