From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History 1927 Flood Photograph Collection. Shows a single black-and-white photograph of a flood scene. Depicts a train on a set of tracks, with several open-top cars. There are several figures standing in the cars and filling bags with sand. On the photo’s right-side, there is a single figure walking next to the train on the right-side of the photo. On the photo’s left-side is a body of water with a barge and row-boat on it. A short wall of sandbags separates the water and tracks, and here is a tree line in the far background. Text in bottom right reads "Vicksburg, Miss. 5-3-27."
