From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History 1927 Flood Photograph Collection. Shows a single black-and-white photograph of a flood scene. Depicts four, flooded one-story buildings, three of which are in the background on the camera's right and the fourth is in the photo’s center with a sign that reads "EGREMONT." There is a large group of various livestock, boats, people, wagons, boats, and vehicles, as well as power lines and poles surrounding the building closest to the camera. A train of box-cars sits next to the center building and three figures sit on the roof of a car with their backs to the camera. There is a tree line in the far background. Text in bottom right reads "Y and M. V. R. R. Station, Egremont, Miss. 5-2-27."
