From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History 1927 Flood Photograph Collection. Shows the bottom left photo of an album page with four black-and-white photographs of flood scenes. Depicts a row of tents and makeshift structures, with various personal belongings and supplies, on a raised platform and surrounded by flood waters. Towards the photo’s center are two figures sitting in a structure, one is facing the camera and only the lower portion of the other person can be viewed. There are several power lines running across the top of the photo. There is a utility-pole and several trees behind the tents and structures. Text in bottom right reads "Blanton, Miss. 5-2-27."
