From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History 1927 Flood Photograph Collection. Shows a single black-and-white photograph of a flood scene. Depicts a flooded street in a town lined by numerous buildings, street lights, and power lines and poles. The flood-water reaches the buildings' foundations. There is a small truck parked next to a wagon, with three men standing in the back of the wagon and looking at the camera, the man closest to the camera is holding an oar. There is another man behind them sitting in a boat in the flooded street. Text in bottom right reads "Street Leland, Miss 4-30-27."
