From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History 1927 Flood Photograph Collection. Shows a single black-and-white photograph of a flood scene. The camera angle overlooks a section of two sets of diverging railroad tracks, which are unflooded and surrounded by flood waters in the foreground and flooded in the background. There are a number of livestock on the tracks with a few people sitting by the tracks near a small structure. There are two sets of power lines and poles running parallel on both sides of the tracks. In the left side of the photo’s background are trees and buildings. On the photo's right side is a fence, a large building with a sloping roof, and in the background are several smaller buildings. Text in bottom right reads "So. from R. R. Water Tank, Leland, Miss. 4-30-27."
