Depicts a muddy field with rows of numerous A-frame and pyramid-style tents with rope supports. There are various people sitting or walking among the tents. On the photo's left side is a group of African American children and adults sitting or standing in the entrance to the tent second closest to the camera, either facing the camera or looking away. In the background on the photo's right side is a wagon with several figures on it. There is a tree line in the far background. Text in the bottom right reads "Yazoo City 5-13-27."
